Birmingham Nightclub Shooting: Four Injured, One Critical
A Birmingham nightclub shooting at Mango on Bristol Street has left one man fighting for his life and three others injured. West Midlands Police confirmed the incident happened around 3am on Saturday morning, sparking a major response and leading to the arrest of three suspects.
Man Critical After Mango Club Shooting
Emergency services rushed to the scene after shots were fired inside the busy nightclub. One man remains in critical condition, while two men and a woman are being treated for less serious injuries.
Video footage from the area showed ambulances and police cars surrounding the venue, as investigators secured the scene. Bristol Street, one of the city’s main roads, has been cordoned off and will remain closed “for some time.”
Arrests Made on M6 After Shooting
Police said three men in their 20s and 30s were arrested on the M6 in Warwickshire shortly after the shooting. They remain in custody on suspicion of violent disorder as detectives continue their investigation.
Acting Chief Inspector Michael Clarke urged witnesses to come forward, stating:
“This happened in a busy nightclub, on one of the main roads out of Birmingham city centre, so it’s vital that we hear from anybody who saw what happened or who may have captured it on dashcam.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are now appealing for anyone who was inside Mango nightclub or nearby at the time to provide footage or information. Additional high-visibility patrols have been deployed in Birmingham city centre to reassure the public.
Motorists are advised to avoid Bristol Street southbound between the Pagoda Island and Bromsgrove Street while the police cordon remains in place.
