Amber Alert Issued After Double Homicide in East Alabama; 3-Year-Old Child Missing

AUBURN, Ala. — An urgent Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Jibreel Harun, who is believed to be in imminent danger following a tragic double-homicide investigation in Auburn.

According to the Auburn Police Department, officers were dispatched around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a welfare check at a home on the 1200 block of Samantha Court. Upon forcing entry, they discovered the bodies of a woman and her juvenile daughter, believed to be around 13 years old. Their identities have not yet been released.

Authorities say another child, Harun, was missing from the scene. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has confirmed he is three years old and has not been seen since Monday.

Police are actively searching for Aaron Dontay Williams, 41, the husband of the deceased woman and father of the missing child. He is also believed to be the stepfather of the teen victim. Williams is considered armed and dangerous and may be traveling with Harun in a gray 2010 Honda Accord with Alabama tag 43A224A.

Williams is described as 6’1”, approximately 240 pounds, with a medium complexion. Investigators say he has known ties to north Alabama.

Assistant Police Chief Michael Harris confirmed that the family had not been in contact with the victims for several days, prompting the welfare check. Investigators believe the killings occurred within the past 48 hours.

Anyone with information is urged to call Auburn Police at 334-501-7313 or 911. Authorities warn the public not to approach Williams under any circumstances.

This is a developing story. More details will be shared as they become available.
