Typhoon sparks evacuation orders in Japan

Almost two million people have been under evacuation orders in Japan as Typhoon Dujuan threatens Tokyo, leading to hundreds of flight cancellations.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency issued level three warnings for heavy rain and level four warnings for landslides, in addition to an “imminent threat to life”.

These warnings have since been downgraded in most areas (BBC). The danger to life warning remains in place in Oshima Town.
