Newark Airport nearly empty as FAA equipment outage cancels 183 flights

Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) appeared nearly empty Monday as an ongoing FAA equipment outage caused widespread disruption across the New York and Philadelphia airspace.

According to flight-tracking data, 183 flights have been canceled and 197 delayed at Newark so far, making the airport one of the hardest hit by the disruption.
