SEVERE STORMS PROMPT TORNADO WARNING, POWER OUTAGES IN CLAY COUNTY

Clay County experienced another round of severe weather Sunday night into earl this (Monday) morning, bringing a tornado warning, downed tree limbs and scattered power outages.

The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for northern Clay County around 7 p.m. Sunday after radar indicated rotation near Edgewood and Mason.

At approximately 7:05 p.m., the Weather Service reported Doppler radar had indicated a tornado near Edgewood.

Clay County ESDA’s Steve Lewis reported medium-sized tree limbs down following the storm, but no other significant damage was reported.
