Anderson teenager arrested in Missouri in connection to fatal shooting

Police in Anderson have arrested a teenager in Missouri in connection to a fatal shooting that happened earlier this month.

Police responded to a report of a person who had been shot in the 1600 block of Madison Avenue on Sept. 6.

Officers on scene say they found Tomerious Smoots, 31, of Anderson, with a gunshot wound to his chest.

Emergency responders took him to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
