Man in custody after shooting in Packer

Shooting in Packer: report details
A man is facing attempted homicide charges after a shooting Saturday morning in Packer Township. State Police at Hazleton were called to a residence on Tower Road at 8:28 a.m. for a report of a man who had been shot.
Police determined an argument happened outside the residence, which led to a shooting. Stephen Hall, 30, was taken into custody without incident. The victim, a 41-year-old man, was transported to a local medical facility for non-life-threatening injuries.
Stephen Hall was charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and recklessly endangering another person and ultimately remanded to the Carbon County Correctional Facility.
The Troop N Hazleton Criminal Investigation Unit, in conjunction with the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office, is investigating. PSP was assisted on scene by the Weatherly Borough Police Department and Nesquehoning Police Department.
