U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem Warns Americans of Possible Flight Disruptions and Airspace Closures

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has issued a security alert to American citizens in Israel, warning that heightened tensions across the Middle East could disrupt travel.

The embassy warned that the regional security environment remains fluid and that travelers could face flight cancellations, airspace closures, and other restrictions or changes affecting passenger travel.

The U.S. State Department is advising Americans in the Middle East to follow the latest guidance from the nearest embassy or consulate and to monitor airport and airline operations closely.

American citizens are also being encouraged to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security updates and emergency information.

The warning comes amid continuing regional tensions and the possibility that security developments could affect commercial aviation with little notice.
