Barksdale Air Force Base was on lockdown after reports of active shooter threat

The Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB) says it went into lockdown on the morning of September 18 after getting reports of an active shooter threat.
Barksdale emergency personnel responded to the threat, and the incident has since been resolved.
There were no injuries, and there is no active threat to the base at this time, says BAFB. “The safety of Team Barksdale is absolutely paramount.
We are proud of the expert response provided by our emergency personnel who were able to quickly resolve the threat,” says Colonel Chris Cain, 2nd Bomb Wing commander.
