Shelter-in-Place Advisory Issued for Northeast Keene as Police Search for Armed Suspect

Keene Police are advising residents in northeast Keene to shelter in place while law enforcement searches for Patrick Allen Boyer, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

New Hampshire State Police and local law enforcement agencies are continuing an extensive search for a suspect in the Stoddard, Nelson, and Keene areas, prompting a shelter-in-place advisory for parts of northeast Keene.

Keene Police are advising residents in the northeast section of the city—including areas around Upper Washington Street, Concord Road, Jordan Road, Nims Road, Sullivan Street, and Rule Street—to shelter in place until further notice.

Keene State College has also issued an emergency alert directing the campus community to shelter in place and remain in lockdown due to the ongoing police investigation.

According to the alert, Campus Safety received a request from the Keene Police Department to place the campus under lockdown.

Students and staff are being asked to monitor MYKSC, RAVE, and their KSC email for additional information.

The alert also advises anyone who sees a person dressed in dark clothing with a red beard and neck tattoos to call 911 and report their observations.
