Cincinnati, Ohio mother charged in connection to toddler's shooting found not guilty

A mother has been found not guilty of child endangering. Teasia Leonard was charged after her toddler shot himself.

Leonard placed the toddler in her bedroom alone on Nottingham Road on May 31, 2025 . The child was shot a short time later.

An assistant prosecutor said he shot himself. The boy survived.

During her arraignment, her attorney said Leonard doesn't have a gun but she recently started dating someone who brought a friend to her home.
