Explosion

A third person has died following a deadly house explosion in Granville.

Vermont State Police said on Tuesday that the owner of the home, Sheila Hammond, 69, has died at a hospital out of state while receiving treatment for what they called critical injuries sustained in the blast.

The explosion, which happened on Saturday, Sept. 5, was caused by a propane leak within the home. Investigators ruled the explosion accidental.

Two other people were killed in the blast that leveled the home, including Liam O'Sullivan, 20, and his mother, Sarah O'Sullivan, 46, of Essex Junction.
