Colfax man arrested for arson after wildfire reported in Rapides Parish, Louisiana

A Colfax man was arrested in connection with a wildfire investigation in Rapides Parish, according to the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

LDAF agents and fire crews, along with local firefighters and the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, responded to a wildfire near 418 Cabra Hill Road on September 10.

It was reported that Brian Todd Middleton, 38, fled the scene when law enforcement arrived.

LDAF investigated and obtained an arrest warrant for Middleton on a simple arson charge. RPSO took Middleton into custody the same day and booked on other charges.
