1 killed, 1 wounded in drive-by shooting in Independence, Louisiana, Tangipahoa sheriff says

One person was killed and a second injured in a drive-by double shooting early Monday (Sept. 14) in Independence, the Tangipahoa Parish sheriff said.

The shooting victims were described only as male, but their ages and identities have not been disclosed.

The condition of the living victim was not detailed, but Sheriff Gerald Sticker said he was expected to survive.

The overnight shooting took place in the 200 block of Louisiana Hwy.
