Private Plane Crashes at Misrata Airport, Flights Suspended After Aircraft Catches Fire

Flights were suspended at Misrata International Airport in Libya on Monday morning after a private plane overran the runway while landing and caught fire.
According to preliminary reports, a Turkish crew was on board the aircraft, while Al Arabiya’s correspondent reported that one of the passengers was a prominent figure, whose identity has not yet been disclosed.
The incident led to the closure of the airspace and suspension of flight operations at the airport, as emergency and firefighting crews responded to the burning aircraft.
There was no immediate confirmed information about injuries or fatalities, and the cause of the runway overrun remains unclear.
