Trespasser Stopped at Kamala Harris’ Malibu Home as Security Concerns Grow

A trespasser was stopped after illegally entering the Malibu property of former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff, prompting renewed security concerns around the former vice president.
Private security personnel spotted the individual and contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at about 10:30 p.m. Friday. The person was stopped before reaching the residence. Harris and Emhoff were not home at the time.
Deputies later made contact with the individual outside the property. Authorities said the person was warned and left voluntarily, and no arrest was made.
A trespassing report was filed, and law enforcement plans to increase patrols around the area as a precaution.
The incident is drawing fresh attention because Harris no longer receives the extended Secret Service protection that had originally been granted after she left office.
The Malibu property has remained under private security, while local authorities continue to monitor the area following the incident.
