Houma man arrested in connection with 5 stabbings, four deaths

Solet was previously charged with attempted second-degree murder, but ultimately found not guilty in a 2019 stabbing at the Red Carpet Inn in Houma.

In that case, Solet told jurors he was a shrimper by trade and had been homeless for some time.

The victim in that case, Cindy Boudreaux, told jurors Solet had struck her in the head with a wine bottle and stabbed her multiple times.
