Aaron Rodgers Throws Touchdown as Steelers Hold Narrow Lead Over Falcons

Aaron Rodgers has thrown his first touchdown pass of the new NFL season as the Pittsburgh Steelers hold a narrow lead over the Atlanta Falcons at Acrisure Stadium.

Rodgers connected with tight end Pat Freiermuth for a six-yard touchdown in the second quarter, helping Pittsburgh take control after Atlanta had scored first.

But the Falcons have fought back. Nick Folk converted a 50-yard field goal late in the third quarter to cut Pittsburgh’s advantage to 13-10, turning the game into a one-score contest heading toward the fourth quarter.

Rodgers had completed 17 of 32 passes for 171 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, while Pittsburgh’s defense continued to pressure Falcons quarterback Cooper Rush.

Atlanta has remained within striking distance despite offensive struggles, with Bijan Robinson emerging as its biggest threat through both the running and passing game.

The Steelers lead 13-10 with the game still in progress.
