Male arrested for attempted homicide in the city of Sharon

Law enforcement arrested and charged a male with attempted criminal homicide Saturday Evening.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., the Sharon Police Department, Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team, and the United States Marshals Service conducted a search warrant on the 300 block of South Myers Ave to serve an arrest warrant on a male who was wanted for attempted criminal homicide out of Butler County, Pennsylvania.

Upon their arrival, the suspect attempted to flee through the second-story window and jumped off the roof.

He sustained injuries from the jump and was taken into custody and turned over to the U.S. Marshals Service.
