Man Critically Injured in Possible Machete Attack in Miami

A 43-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition early Saturday after a possible machete attack in Miami, according to fire rescue officials.

Miami Fire Rescue said crews responded at around 1:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a man suffering from multiple deep lacerations believed to have been caused during an attack involving a machete.

Victim rushed to hospital

Emergency crews treated the man at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital in critical condition.

Officials did not immediately release additional details about where the attack occurred or the circumstances leading up to it.

Police investigation underway

NBC6 said it had contacted Miami police for information about a possible suspect.

No arrest or suspect description was immediately available, and the investigation remains ongoing.
