Dengue Hospitalizations Exceed 50,000; Death Toll Reaches 143

Two more people died from dengue in the country over a 24-hour period, while 1,056 new patients were hospitalized with the mosquito-borne disease.

This brings the total number of hospitalizations this year to 50,276.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) shared this information in its regular daily dengue bulletin on Saturday (September 12).

According to the bulletin, both deceased individuals were male—one a child aged 6 to 10 years, and the other between 56 and 60 years old.
