Two Men Fatally Shot Near Howard Playground in Brooklyn

Two men were fatally shot Friday night near Howard Playground in Brooklyn, prompting a large NYPD investigation in the area of Mother Gaston Boulevard and Glenmore Avenue.
The shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on September 11 within the NYPD’s 73rd Precinct.
Two victims pronounced dead
A 35-year-old man was shot in the chest, while a 33-year-old man was struck multiple times in the body.
Both victims were rushed by EMS to local hospitals, where they were pronounced dead.
Their identities were being withheld pending notification of their families.
Evidence recovered at the scene
NYPD detectives and officers secured the area and began collecting evidence, including shell casings, blood, medical debris and two bicycles found near the shooting scene.
Police had made no arrests as of the latest update.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
