14-Year-Old Boy Killed, Four Injured In Kolasib — Mizoram Landslide

Aizawl, September 12: A 14-year-old boy was killed and four others were injured after a landslide triggered by heavy rain struck Vairengte town in Mizoram’s Kolasib district on Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred around 4:30 am near the Mizoram-Assam border. The teenager, identified as Zodingliana, was trapped under the debris and died on the spot.

Police personnel and local volunteers recovered his body from the debris. Four others were injured in the incident and were subsequently attended to, according to officials.
