Crews stop spread of Crook County wildfire near Paulina, Oregon

Evacuations and firefighting response
– Firefighters stopped the spread of a small wildfire burning in eastern Crook County, as officials remind the public that fire season isn't over quite yet.
The 10-acre fire was first reported Thursday afternoon about eight miles northwest of Paulina near a small reservoir off of Scott Rd.
Officials said the fire was spreading slowly and was mostly smoldering. No homes or outbuildings were threatened.
