Five arrested in connection to death of five-year-old Newberry girl

Five individuals were arrested in connection of the death of a young girl according to the Newberry Police Department.

Newberry Police Chief Kevin Goodman said Aniyah Williams was unresponsive and taken to the hospital by a family member Aug. 6. She was pronounced dead the same day.

The incident prompted multiple law enforcement groups to investigate, including: Five people were arrested in connection with her death Sept. 4 and 8.
