Man arrested for murder warrant in connection with August North Omaha, Nebraska shooting

An Omaha man has been booked into Douglas County Corrections for 1st-degree murder in the shooting death of another man in August, according to court records.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Diontrey Rodgers, 32, who was booked into jail Wednesday evening on charges of murder, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
Police reported that on Aug. 16 a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds near 28th and Titus Avenue.
The man, later identified as Lashawn Lessley, Jr, 34, was pronounced deceased at Nebraska Medical Center. Watch breaking news unfold on our livestream.
