Large wildfire contained in Walker County, Alabama

A large wildfire covering more than 100 acres has been reported contained in the Parrish area of Walker County.

Alabama Forestry Commission wildland firefighters will continue monitoring the area. The agency said it does not share exact fire locations to protect first responders and the public.

The Alabama Forestry Commission said protecting the state’s forests and the people who depend on them remains its top priority.
