Investigators identify man killed in weekend head-on crash in Dedham, Massachusetts

DEDHAM, Massachusetts — Investigators shared the name Monday of a man who died over the weekend in a head-on crash involving his pickup truck and an Eversource vehicle in Dedham, Massachusetts.

The collision occurred around 11:15 p.m. near 961 Washington Street, and one of the vehicles was reported to be on fire.

Michael Pitts, 59, was identified by the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office as the driver of the pickup. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The roadway was closed for hours while crews investigated the crash. "Safety is always our top priority and our thoughts are with those involved in this accident.
