Third Person Charged Over Shooting At Hillston

A third man has been charged over the alleged shooting of another man in the state's south last month.

About 11.20pm on Wednesday 19 August 2026, officers from Murrumbidgee Police District responded to reports that a 48-year-old man had presented to medical facility on Burns Street, Hillston, with a gunshot wound to the right leg.

Officers were informed that the man had been shot in the backyard of a home on Burns Street, before he then walked to the hospital.

Crime scenes were established at both the home in Burns Street and the parked vehicle in Shelly Street.
