A Prime Air Boeing 767-300F overran Runway 30 at Miami International Airport on Sunday after arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, triggering a major emergency response and air traffic restrictions.
The aircraft has been identified in initial aviation reports as N1997A, operating Cargo South flight 7598 for Amazon Prime Air.
Boeing 767 Leaves Runway After Landing
The cargo aircraft reportedly continued beyond the end of Runway 30 after landing and came to rest outside the paved runway area near airport infrastructure.
Heavy black smoke and flames were reported from the aircraft as emergency crews responded.
