Man dead, woman critically injured in Southeast Memphis, Tennessee shooting, MPD says

SOUTHEAST MEMPHIS, Tennessee — MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man is dead, and a woman is fighting for her life after a shooting in Southeast Memphis Saturday morning, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Around 2:30 a.m., officers arrived at the scene of a shooting call in the area of South Perkins Road and Lamar Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a man and a woman, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
