/707 PM PDT/, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly

Potential Impact

Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include. Mainly rural areas of Western Yuma, Southwestern La Paz and Southeastern Imperial Counties. This includes CA Interstate 8 between mile markers 83 and 92. This includes the following streams and drainages. Marcus Wash, Colorado River, Picacho Wash, Unnamed Wash, Little Picacho Wash, Mission Wash, Ferguson Wash, Senator Wash, Carrizo Wash and Araz Wash

The warning covers La Paz, AZ; Yuma, AZ; Imperial, CA.
