Long Beach, California shooting: 4 Injuredand pursuit that includes exchange of gunfire

LONG BEACH, California — Three people were injured in a shooting early Tuesday, Sept. 1 in Long Beach that prompted a police pursuit to downtown Los Angeles and an exchange of gunfire.

Officers responded to a shooting around 12:24 a.m. in the 200 block of Aquarium Way, the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and another victim was treated at the scene, police said.

The suspect fled in a vehicle after being found by officers near Burnett Street and Pacific Avenue, Long Beach police said.
