Barricaded man arrested in Sierra Vista in connection with domestic violence incident

Barricaded man arrested: SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KVOA) – A man was arrested on multiple domestic violence charges, including attempted homicide, after barricading himself inside an apartment and being taken into custody using less lethal tactics.

Police responded to the 90 block of Kings Way around 7:45 a.m. on Aug. 29 after a 911 caller reported hearing screaming from inside an apartment.

When officers arrived, they also heard screaming coming from the apartment. Officers made contact with a woman inside and got her to safety.

A man then barricaded himself inside the apartment. The woman was taken to the hospital for assessment and treatment of her injuries.
