Possible suspect in custody after man critically injured in Old Market Shooting, Nebraska

OMAHA, Nebraska — Omaha police said officers heard shots early Sunday, found the victim in the Old Market, and later took him to Nebraska Medicine after a pursuit tied to the case.

Omaha police are investigating an early Sunday shooting in the Old Market that left one man in critical condition.

Lt. Timothy Smock said officers were already in the area of 13th and Howard Streets when they heard shots fired and quickly responded.

Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was critically injured, according to police.
