Man Seriously Injured on 147ft Batman Rollercoaster in Madrid

A 49-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries on the Batman Gotham City Escape rollercoaster at Parque Warner Madrid in Spain.

Rider Reportedly Fractured Both Legs

Emergency workers said the man suffered an open fracture to his left leg and a closed fracture to his right leg during Saturday’s incident.

He received treatment at the scene before being flown to 12 de Octubre Hospital in a potentially serious condition.

Batman Rollercoaster Closed for Investigation

The 147-foot ride, which reaches speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour, stopped immediately after the incident.

Parque Warner Madrid said the rollercoaster would remain closed while the incident is investigated with authorities.
