15-year-old faces murder charge in Detroit, Michigan liquor store shooting

DETROIT, Michigan — A 15-year-old is facing charges including one count of first-degree murder after a fatal shooting at a Detroit liquor store earlier this month.

Isaiah Lamar Gordon, 15, of Detroit, is accused of firing shots from a handgun that left Faith Williams, 65, of Detroit dead and a 29-year-old woman from Detroit injured, according to a news release from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office on Saturday, Aug.

29. The incident happened on Friday, Aug. 21. Police were dispatched to the 15500 block of East Warren Avenue at approximately 11:10 p.m.

Officers arriving on scene observed the 29-year-old victim with a gunshot wound outside of the store and Williams inside the store with a gunshot wound to her left arm that traveled to her neck, according to the news release.
