Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Mystic Island, Smithville and Forked River Until 3 PM

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Mystic Island, Smithville, Forked River and surrounding areas in New Jersey until 3:00 p.m. EDT Friday.

Damaging Winds and Hail Possible

The storm could produce wind gusts of up to 60 mph and quarter-sized hail. Approximately 125,640 people are within the warning area.

Residents should move indoors, stay away from windows and avoid driving through flooded roads.
