Big Church Festival Cancelled After Sign Falls on Crowd, Injuring at Least Six

The Big Church Festival has cancelled today’s event following a serious incident in which a large metal sign reportedly blew over and fell on people at Wiston Park near Steyning, West Sussex.

Air Ambulance Responds to Festival Incident

At least six people were injured, prompting a major emergency response involving ambulance crews, specialist paramedics and an air ambulance.

Visitors Told to Leave the Festival

Organisers instructed all day visitors to leave the site immediately. Campers were asked to return to their campsites and await further updates, although they could leave if they wished.

The Big Church Festival team apologised for the cancellation and said additional information would be released when available.
