Propane Truck Crash Near Bentley Triggers Hazmat Response and Road Closure

A propane truck crash near Bentley, Kansas, triggered a Hazmat response after fuel began leaking from a valve on a vehicle carrying approximately 2,500 gallons.

Two Vehicles Collide in Sedgwick County

The two-vehicle crash happened Thursday afternoon in the 17800 block of West 117th Street North, near 183rd Street West.

Emergency crews closed West 117th Street between 167th and 183rd streets while firefighters worked to contain the propane leak.

Firefighters Stop Propane Leak

Sedgwick County Fire District 1 said the rapid response of emergency crews allowed them to stop the leak successfully. No serious injuries were reported in the crash.
