Snellville, Minnesota shooting: 2 Minnesota gang members sentenced to 40 years

SNELLVILLE, Minnesota — SNELVILLE, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Two Minnesota men have pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a 2022 shooting in Snellville that left one man dead and another seriously injured.

Abdulrahman Haji-Sufi and Salih Abdi, both 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of violating the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the Gwinnett County district attorney.

They were sentenced to 40 years. Haji-Sufi was ordered to serve 25 years in prison and Abdi was ordered to serve 30 years. The shooting happened Jan.

7, 2022, on Summit View Court in Snellville. Police found two men who had been shot. Tewodros “Teddy” Haile, 28, was killed in the shooting.
