Fargo, North Dakota man hospitalized, suspect arrested after early-morning stabbing

FARGO, North Dakota — FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) -Fargo police say a man is in the hospital after an early morning stabbing in South Fargo.

It happened around 6:26 a.m. in the 1500 block of 16th Street South where officers took a report of a man staggering in the area who claimed he had been stabbed.

Officers say they found the man and provided medical aid until an ambulance arrived. The man was then taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers identified the suspect as Octavia Wakefield, 35, of Fargo. Wakefield was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault and taken to the Cass County Jail.
