Officer-involved shooting results in fatality overnight in Asheville, North Carolina

PER THE ASHEVILLE, North Carolina — An officer-involved shooting resulted in a fatality in the early morning hours of Aug. 27, according to the Asheville Police Department. An Aug.

27 news release said that no officers were injured in the incident.

MORE LOCAL NEWS Officers responded to 45 Nancy Street at 12:34 a.m. in response to multiple reports of a breaking and entering at a residence, according to a news release.

The 911 callers advised hearing yelling and that a man had entered the home, police said.
