Amherst man arrested in relation to June shooting that injured woman in Bedford, Virginia

(WSET) — An Amherst man has been arrested in connection with a June shooting that injured a 21-year-old woman at an apartment on Blue Ridge Avenue, according to the Bedford Police Department.

Proshaun Armstead, 41, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the shooting at an apartment in the 700 block of Blue Ridge Avenue, police said.

The woman was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital at the time and was expected to make a full recovery.
