Man accused in deadly Stuart

STUART, Iowa — A man charged in a deadly shooting in Stuart, Iowa, is now being held without bond after a judge revoked his initial $1 million bond.

Austin Reed is charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder of a peace officer. He is accused of shooting and killing Toni Salazar on Aug. 18.

Iowa State Trooper Chase Carruthers was also shot during the incident. The judge's decision to revoke Reed's bond followed a change in state law.
