Local, Massachusetts woman stabbed inside her apartment; Police investigating

MARLBOROUGH, Massachusetts — Authorities are investigating after a woman was stabbed inside her apartment in Marlborough, Massachusetts, early Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 5:14 a.m. regarding a woman who was attacked inside her Rice Street residence, according to the Marlborough Police Department.

Investigators said the victim had significant stab wounds and was immediately transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center.

Her injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening, according to police. The suspect fled the scene, and no arrests have been made.
