Louisville, Kentucky police responding to shooting near bus stop. What we know
LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — A teenage girl is in critical condition Aug. 25 following a shooting near a Jefferson County Public Schools bus stop in the Algonquin neighborhood, officials said.
Louisville Metro and Jefferson County Public Schools police first responded to a reported shooting near a bus stop in the area of Beech Street and Wyandotte Avenue around 8 a.m., LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
Police are following leads, but no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
Louisville residents are asked to avoid the area in order to allow emergency responders to work safely, JCPS spokesperson Rachel Scott said.
