1 Killed, 1 Wounded In Shooting At Wheeling, Illinois Hotel: Police

WHEELING, Illinois — WHEELING, IL — A 60-year-old Chicago man was killed and another man was wounded in a shooting Sunday evening at a Wheeling hotel, police said.

Wheeling police were called at 6:51 p.m. to the MainStay Suites in the 8000 block of Capital Drive for a report of shots fired.

Officers, assisted by police from neighboring jurisdictions, found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Wheeling Police Department.

Officers immediately began providing emergency medical treatment until Wheeling firefighters arrived. Both men were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for treatment.
