Man Killed In Shopping Center Parking Lot In East Bay: Police

EL CERRITO, California — EL CERRITO, CA — A man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a shopping center in El Cerrito, according to police.

Officers responded to a call around 12:15 p.m. about a shooting at Del Norte Plaza in the 11200 block of San Pablo Avenue, police said.

A young man had been shot near Los Moles restaurant and died of his wounds, according to police.

Witnesses reported that the victim and suspects were engaged in an altercation at the man’s car when he was shot, police said.
