Video Shows Fatal Shooting Outside Detroit Liquor Store; 15-Year-Old Suspect in Custody

DETROIT, Mich. — Newly surfaced video shows the fatal shooting of 57-year-old Faith Williams and the wounding of her niece outside a liquor store on Detroit’s east side.
The shooting happened at about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 15500 block of East Warren Avenue, near Chalmers Road in the Morningside neighborhood.
15-Year-Old Suspect Arrested
Authorities said a 15-year-old male suspect opened fire as the two women were entering the store.
Williams died from her injuries, while her niece was hospitalized after also being shot.
Detroit police took the teenage suspect into custody Saturday morning.
The newly surfaced footage captures the moments surrounding the shooting and is circulating as investigators continue examining the circumstances of the attack.
